Your document goes through 9 steps, from picking a template to getting your final, sealed copy.
No. You can browse document types, and even pick your appointment date and time, without logging in. You're only asked to sign in or sign up at checkout, right before payment — and once you do, you're brought straight back to finish the booking you started.
When you sign up, you choose your own password (at least 8 characters) — nothing is generated for you. Your login is simply your email address; there's no separate account number to remember. Before your account is created, you verify both your email and mobile number with a one‑time code sent to each.
Go to the sign‑in page and choose "Forgot password" — or go straight to the reset‑password page. Enter your email and we'll send you a reset link. It's a one‑time link: opening it lets you set a new password, and it stops working once you've used it.
If someone lists you as a signer or witness on their application and you don't already have an account, eNotarize creates one for you automatically. The email inviting you to sign includes your login: your email address as the username, and your mobile number as the password. You can change it later from your profile.
They do the same job at the end of the process — watch everyone sign, add the official seal, and sign last themselves — the difference is which documents they handle and how you're matched to one. Some document types are Notary‑handled: you're automatically matched to any notary free at your chosen time, regardless of location. Others require an Oath Commissioner, which also means picking the court (High Court, District Court, or Tehsil) your document is for, and you're matched to an Oath Commissioner registered for that specific court.
Your Notary or Oath Commissioner can send it back for redrafting. That resets the signing process: every signature already collected is voided, and once the corrected version is ready, everyone — including anyone who'd already signed — needs to sign again.
From your account, open My Applications and select the one you want. You'll see its current stage (waiting for payment, scheduled, drafted, sent for signing, all signed, or completed), your appointment and meeting details, and a full list of every signatory and witness with their status. If you were added to someone else's document instead, the link in your invite email takes you to your own version of this page.
A signing invite links straight to your signing page. If your Notary or Oath Commissioner nudges you, you'll get a reminder with the same link. Once everyone has signed, your Notary or Oath Commissioner gets an email to review and finish notarizing. Once the document is fully completed, you and everyone who signed get an email with a link to download the final signed PDF.
